Borchers Emerger

Likely origin Only the designer's own account on his guide-service site; no independent source found for the date or design story.

History

Kraimer's low-riding emerger version of the Borcher's Drake. He kept the turkey-fiber body of the Grayling original, put it on a curved emerger hook with a Z-Lon shuck so more of the body hangs below the film, and used the angled hair wing from his Tilt-Shoot to keep it upright and visible.

He ties it in sizes 8 to 16 and in different colors to cover a long list of Michigan mayflies, for trout that have started refusing standard duns.
