Fonzi Fry

Likely origin Only the designer's own account on his guide-service site; no independent source found for the date or design story.

History

A salmon-fry imitation for the spring weeks when naturally spawned chinook and coho fry emerge in rivers such as the Manistee, Betsie and Pere Marquette. Kraimer says he made it for steelhead, drifting it below an egg, and then found trout took it swung or stripped along the banks.
