Griz's Swamp Stompin' BWO Beadhead
Also called Swamp Stompin' BWO
Unverified origin Single source: the MFFC handout, which calls it Schotts' original design.
History
This small jig-hook nymph is the subsurface partner to Schotts' E-Train emerger. Both were presented together at a March 2022 Michigan Fly Fishing Club meeting as blue-winged olive flies for the start of the Michigan trout season. Its ostrich-herl body and tungsten bead make it a quick-sinking imitation of a BWO nymph.
