Tim's Brown Drake
Unverified origin Only the archive recipe card supports the tyer, place and date.
History
Tim Simons of Michigan designed this parachute for the brown drake hatch around 2000. Tom Deschaine could find nothing more about him.
The original recipe calls for ox hair and black coastal deer without saying which kind; Deschaine read the tail as musk ox and tied the body with natural dark coastal deer. It also works when other dark mayflies are on the water.
