classic Michigan dry fly · mid-1950s
Woodchuck Caddis
Likely origin Credited to Sedlecky-Borsum in one source; not yet confirmed elsewhere.
History
Another of Josephine Sedlecky-Borsum's Baldwin caddis patterns, built on the same woodchuck wing as her Killer but with a slim black floss body. A female version adds a yellow butt.
Whatever she originally called it has been lost. It is known today simply as the Woodchuck Caddis.
