Au Sable Queen
Unverified origin The recipe and the Au Sable link come only from the Michigan Dry Flies archive; no public source was found for the originator, date or place.
History
The Au Sable Queen is a peacock-bodied dry fly with a green egg sac and a pale deer-hair wing laid back over the body like a caddis. The white wing makes it easy to follow on the water in poor light.
Its name points to the Au Sable and suggests a companion to the Au Sable King, but no public source found so far names who tied it first or when.
