Beaded Alevin

Unverified origin Only the Current Works page covers it, and that page does not state who designed it. Attribution to Kraimer is inferred from the site.

History

A small sac-fry imitation, with a plastic bead standing in for the yolk, for late winter and early spring in rivers where salmon spawned the previous fall and steelhead spawn in spring. It is drifted as a dropper on a nymph rig for steelhead and swung and twitched for trout.
