Jeff's Para Drake
Unverified origin Only the Michigan Dry Flies archive card supports the tyer, place and date; no independent source was found. The card was contributed by Bonin himself.
History
Jeff Bonin of North Muskegon designed this parachute around 1993 for the gray drake hatches on the Muskegon River, which run from May into July.
Bonin fishes it as both dun and spinner. His reasoning is that gray drake spinners often land in untidy, half-spent positions rather than flat, and a low-riding parachute suggests that better than a fully spent pattern.
