Parachute Fire Fly
Unverified origin Only Deschaine's own archive card describes the fly and date.
History
Tom Deschaine designed the Parachute Fire Fly in 2008 as a beetle that glows. The glow-in-the-dark Flashabou body takes a charge from a flashlight and shines for a few minutes.
He used it as an ordinary beetle by day and as his first choice at night when fireflies were out, aiming it at the common North American firefly genera.
