Regan's Black Caddis
Unverified origin Regan's background is confirmed elsewhere, but only the archive card describes this fly.
History
Jerry Regan, a third-generation Grayling tyer, created this small parachute caddis around 1990 for the Chimarra hatches that run from late April through summer.
The down wing and the parachute post come from one bunch of deer hair. A female version adds a short lime green egg sac. Regan prefers hair from deer taken in mid-October.
